Here's a gig I'm really looking forward to: I've been selected as the keynote speaker for Louisiana's statewide Dream Teachers awards ceremony, this July in Baton Rouge. They'll be announcing the awards for Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year. The awards are given out by the Louisiana Department of Education and a non-profit organization called Dream Teachers that was created to support excellence in education.

They really do a great job of honoring these educators. In fact, after the ceremony, the winning teacher will drive home a brand-new Mercedes. Me, I'll fly home on Southwest.
